PEAKAFELLER - OUTSIDE THE BOX

Peakafeller's love of music started at an early age. He studied piano, guitar, singing and sound engineering for many years. These things combined with Peak's interest in dj'ing have helped sculpt his unique blend of electro-pop-rock-house sounds. His ace production techniques have been compared to the likes of heavyweight house producers Bassment Jaxx , Daft Punk , Fat Boy Slim and even hip hop don Timbaland . Peakafeller cites influence from an immense variety of artists and styles of music, most of which he contends have heavily changed and sculpted today sounds. This list includes John Lennon & The Beatles , Beck , Basement Jaxx , Armand Van Helden and Fat Boy Slim .

Peak's dj assault on the Canadian club scene started at the ripe age of 17, when he was rocking night clubs in Quebec City and Montreal before he was legal to get in. He continued to gain notoriety for playing consistent sets at the biggest raves & afterhour clubs across Canada, including a notable residency at Quebec city's Terminal Night Afterhours Club. The name Peakafeller was given to him by co-workers at one of the first clubs he worked at because of the freaky "Pique" shape of his hair at the time, combined with the fact that he used to rock the track " Rockafella Skank " by Fat Boy Slim often and hard, hence Peak-a-feller . Executive Producers Pierre Soupras & Mike 'FU' Fresco have a different take on the origin of the name... "It's PEAK as in peak time no filler here, and A-FELLER , as in ROCK-A-FELLER , as in this FELLA came to ROCK this joint tonight. "

He recently produced Bunka Busta 's critically acclaimed debut Electro/Pop album Rocket Roller Coaster , and has collaborated with Canadian heavyweight dj's Daniel Desnoyers & Marco G . His first clubs single "She's a Bitch", a song written as a twisted dedication to a skanky ex-girlfriend, was an international success. He was also featured as the dj poster boy in a recent GM Automotive campaign, representing the fresh new face of GM cars in Canada, and has been chosen by media mogul Astral Media in Canada to produce music for several Canadian television and radio projects.

His latest offering is the full length album PEAKAFELLER - OUTSIDE THE BOX , clocks' in at an impressive 70+ continuous minutes. OUTSIDE THE BOX fuses rock and punk sounds with electro house flawlessly. Peakafeller's bangin' beats, smokin' guitars, catchy choruses, seductive melodies, crude lyrics and pop sensibility all lend to create instant future classics. Key tracks on the album include Get The Fuck Out of My Way , Queens King , Everybody Knows It , and I Don't Care , featuring Peakafeller's punked out vocals and killer guitars and lean towards DFA / Mobile / Fatboy Slim territory. EV1 (a song about electric cars), Crop Circle , Jump In Da House , A Casa and Flash Your Rack , are designed strictly for the dancefloor while showcasing Peakafeller's love for the clubs, think David Guetta meets MSTRKRFT meets LCD Soundsystem, and Time To Move , a deep electro-fied house cut, was co-written and co-produced by Canadian hotshot dj Dan Desnoyers and has been receiving heavy support on radio mix shows across Canada. The pièce de resistance, I Wish I Had Won A Trip Down South , is an amusing calypso-fied electro house tune complete with tropical steel drum flavas that will light up any dancefloor and put a smile on your face.
